Abstract
The aim of the research is to know the effect of the reading strategy (PQRST) in developing the skills of solving physical chemistry problems among students of the Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Mosul. The research sample consisted of (70) students from the third stage of the academic year (2019-2020). Distributing them into two equal groups in number and equivalence in some variables, an experimental group whose members studied solving physical chemistry problems according to the (PQRST) strategy, and the second control group whose members studied the topics according to the usual method. And verify its sincerity and stability, and the final formula consisted of (5) problems in physical chemistry, all of which were characterized by honesty and stability, and after the researcher completed the experiment, the researcher used the test prepared for his research students, and after obtaining and collecting the results and conducting statistical operations on them by applying the appropriate tools statistically, the results showed that:
At the level of significance (0.05) there is a statistically significant difference between the means of the problem-solving test for the members of the two groups and in favor of the experimental.
