الملخص
الاهداف: جاءت الدراسة لمعرفة طبيعة العلاقة السياسية التي ربطت مدينة غزّة بالدولة المصرية المجاورة لها ابان المرحلة (1550 – 1200 ق.م). إذ كان الطابع العسكري صفة ملازمة لتلك العَلاقات في أغلب أوقاتها، جُعلت مدينة غزّة بعد السيطرة السياسية والعسكرية عليها مركزًا وعاصمةً للإدارة المصرية في منطقة جنوب سورية وقاعدةً متقدمة للانطلاق منها لإخضاع أي تمرد ضد النفود المصري في المدن السورية، كما عدَّت قاعدة متقدمة للدفاع عن الأراضي المصرية ضد أي عدو خارجي يروم غزوها من جهة بلاد سورية.
المنهجية: لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة اعتمدت الدراسة على تطبيق المنهج التحليلي في دراسة أحداث مرحلة الدراسة والوقوف على أهم التداخلات التي صاغت تاريخ منطقة الشَّرق القديم من خلال تحليل المعلومات التي وردت في بطون المصادر ذات الصلة. وإعادة قراءة نصوص تلك المصادر وفحصها بطريقة تخدم أهداف الدراسة.
النتائج: كان الموقع الاستراتيجي والتجاري لمدينة غزّة في جنوب سورية وعلى الحدود مع مصر، سببًا في تعرض المدينة للكثير من الحملات العسكريَّة بهدف السَّيطرة عليها، إذ كانت بمنزلة حلقة وصل بين قارات العالم الثلاث آسيا وأفريقيا برًا، وبحرًا مع قارة أوروبا.
التوصيات: ضرورة التحقق من دقة قراءة النصوص التي عُثر عليها، ومقارنة تلك النصوص التي تم العثور عليها في اماكن مختلفة بما تحويه من معلومات تاريخية؛ لأجل تكوين فكرة مقاربة لحد ما عَمَّا عاشه سكان مدينة غزّة من اوضاع سياسية ابان مدة الدراسة.
