Abstract
During the period from the sixth to the tenth century AH, the city of Damascus represented a destination for many scientific houses that included among its members many great jurists, who had an important role in supporting the jurisprudence movement in Damascus at that time, and this city gave birth to great scientific houses in which there are competent scholars in the field of jurisprudence. , They, too, contributed to the development of the sciences of jurisprudence, as the jurists of these houses have authored many venerable jurisprudential books that were and still adorn the shelves of the libraries of the Islamic world, these jurisprudential families contributed to supporting the educational movement in Damascus, especially in the field of teaching the sciences of jurisprudence, by establishing a number of schools of jurisprudence, which became a shining lamp illuminating the edifice of Arab civilization over the Islamic centuries.
